Who doesn’t want to experience a whirlwind romance? We read about it in storybooks, grow up hoping life will turn out like our favorite fairytale movies, and wait for it to come our way. For these lovely couples, their dreams came true, and Solo Stove just so happened to be a character in their stories! Read on to see what kindled the spark:

Ted and Lindsay

Picture this: A teacher and a cool uncle walk into a classroom and fall in love. Well, it’s a bit exaggerated, but not entirely inaccurate. After meeting in the pick-up line a few times at the school where Lindsay taught in Georgetown, she and Ted reconnected years later when they each happened to live in New York City. After a while, the couple found themselves attached at the hip. During the 2020 pandemic, this pair of New Yorkers found refuge with family in Vermont. Falling in love with the environment, they vowed to get married with Vermont’s landscape as their backdrop. With a warm, sunny week leading up to the wedding, there was one thing they couldn’t have planned for: on the day of their ceremony, temperatures dropped below freezing, and snow fell from the skies all day, leaving the pair surrounded by a white blanket. Ted and Lindsay set out to do what they said they would do, so moving the ceremony indoors was not an option. Luckily, Ted’s dad had a Yukon and plenty of firewood on hand. “The only reason we could have the ceremony outside was because we had a Yukon!” said Lindsay. A chilly ceremony with a wood-burning fire sounds dreamy… almost like what you read about in storybooks. Congratulations to this cold couple! We’re so happy we could be a part of your special day!

Kristal and Tony

Ever wondered if love at first sight actually exists? We have your answer, folks. It’s REAL. Kristal and Tony have been inseparable since meeting a few years ago at Kristal’s brother’s house, and got married in October. A few months before the ceremony, Tony’s dad had purchased a Yukon for his house at Buckeye Lake. After falling in love with the fire pit, and seeing that Solo Stove ran a Monthly Photo Contest, Tony was determined to win. “We have to have a Solo Stove at our wedding! I mean, who’s done that before?” Tony said. He figured its aesthetic design, as well as the fact it could provide some warmth on what was forecasted to be a breezy, chilly day, made it the perfect aisle centerpiece. Kristal was in, and so it came to be! Thanks so much for submitting your photo, and letting us share your story, Tony and Kristal! We wish you the warmest life together, and many more fires to come!

Liz, John, and Baby Grayson

Liz, hailing from Tulum, Mexico, originally met John while working as an Au Pair in the US. After maintaining a long-distance relationship for two years, the pair eloped in a dreamy little town in Virginia. One of the hobbies they’d always shared was camping, and they were fans of Solo Stove Camp Stoves. They decided to upgrade their flame game and took it to the next level by purchasing a Bonfire. One of Liz’s favorite memories was a camping trip she and John took with their Bonfire before the news that they would be parents came! About a year after their wedding, baby Grayson made this family a trio. During Grayson’s gender reveal, Liz was excited to capture the event on camera, but was facing chilly weather in spite of her plans. John saved the day and brought out their Bonfire, resulting in an adorable photo finish! Congratulations to this new family, we are so excited to hear all about Grayson’s first camping trip as soon as he’s old enough!

Kelly and Larry

This couple is a pair of newlyweds! Our story begins with Larry and Kelly living their own separate lives while working in a similar field and having a few mutual friends. One day, a Facebook friend request turned into a conversation, and from there, a whole life ahead of them! Larry was originally a Solo Stove Camp Stove fan, and needed something to spice up the barren backyard of his bachelor pad. He decided to get a Yukon, and started getting to know his neighbors by inviting them over to hang out in his backyard. Kelly didn’t live nearby, so Larry thought a night of wine and acoustic guitar by the fire was a great way to get to know each other! That’s right: a night around the Yukon was this couple’s first date. Fast forward to today, and the pair is married, living in a house of their own with a perfect backyard for their Yukon! Congratulations, Kelly and Larry!
