Shelter: New and Upgraded

By Carolyn Owen

You wouldn’t be caught wearing white after labor day– why would your Solo Stove? Shelter is new, upgraded, and available now. Shelter’s original design featured a white PVC material, built as tough as whitewater kayaks– featuring an ultra-weatherproof construction built for standing up to any brutal conditions thrown at it to protect your fire pit. It’s a match made in heaven to a Ranger, Bonfire, or Yukon that consistently lives outdoors.

We heard from our community that while the white PVC stood up to everything Mother Nature threw its way, it was easy to get dirty, and quite a bit more challenging to get clean. So, why not kick that color palette up a notch? Meet the new and improved Solo Stove Shelter, now in Original Black and Premium Ash Grey. Read on to learn more about how our community’s request influenced Shelter’s new style and materials:

Built to Hold Up to the Real World

Made of PVC-Lined Polyester, Shelter is sturdy enough to protect against dust, rain, snow, and ice. Moisture can damage the grate and ashpan inside your fire pit, which is why 360° protection is necessary to keep your fire pit usable for years to come. Shelter features reinforced 6061 aluminum stays, giving it support and structure— meaning you won’t see water or snow pooling in the middle of your fire pit, as the aluminum stays create a clever little dome for precipitation to roll right off of. Topping it off with a stylish, comfortable handle, Shelter is a functional protector that’s made to last.

Shelter Made Modern

Original Black and Premium Ash Grey made their way into our color palette earlier this year with the launch of the all-new Solo Stove Station. Now, coordinate your backyard essentials with Shelter’s updated look. Both polyester covers have staying power, featuring an industry-standard UV tolerance. Besides sandy and rainy conditions, Shelter’s new colors hold up to sunshine, too.
