Project Good: Teacher Edition

We wanted to do something extra special this time for Project Good. From Pre-K to university, teachers do so much to inspire our children to learn, grow, and succeed. Out of hundreds of nominations, we had the opportunity to select a special teacher to receive a Bonfire. His wife captured his reaction. We hope they can share lots of special moments with their new arrivals (the Baby and the Bonfire that is.)

Meet Bret and his wife, Catherine

Bret is a special education teacher for third through fifth grade. When his school went virtual, he went above and beyond to make sure his students had everything they needed to succeed. When he isn’t teaching, lesson planning, or keeping in contact with his student’s parents, Bret is helping Catherine with her pregnancy and their own kindergartner.

“We moved into our house in September of 2019 and we didn’t realize when we bought the house how big the lot was. We have talked several times about how we would love to have a fire pit but just haven’t gotten around to it. When we realized I was pregnant, everything got put on hold. We are a camping family and would love to have a fire pit to make s’mores, but now it will have to wait since we are living off a teacher’s income. Bret serves and gives and never complains. He deserves the world. Catherine
