Have you ever cleaned out a traditional fire pit? Not only are the burnt firelogs still present, but they’re also a charred mess sure to ruin whatever you’re wearing. Solo Stove Fire Pits present many solutions to messy nights around the fire– and burning your logs down to fine, powdery ash is one of them. Featuring a patented removable base plate and ash pan, clean up is just as easy as the start up. Just trash the ash, and you’re onto your next fire in no time.
To compliment your fire pit’s 304 stainless steel body, its new removable base plate and ash pan are made with 430 stainless steel. 304 stainless steel is ultra-durable while still being lightweight and easy to move. What’s not so fun is playing musical chairs while dodging smoke, or walking away at the end of the night knowing you’ll have to wash your hair at least three times to get the smoke smell out. And let’s not forget the fume-fueled tears in your eyes or the smell of your favorite t-shirt that you’ll never be able to recover. Creating a good moment when the experience is complicated and uncomfortable is hard.
But for those in relentless pursuit of a good time, we’re here. Our products exist to make your good moments better– because coming together around a fire and making memories with those you love the most is worth the innovation.
Now you can relish in fireside experiences without the inconvenience of a smoky flame. Our Signature 360° Airflow super-heats air to burn off smoke before it can get to your clothes and hair, letting you enjoy nights around a fire, again and again, night after night. Air is funneled through the fire pit’s lower vent holes to fan the flames from below. The growing flame superheats the fire pit’s double walls, causing air caught in between both walls to rise.
Once the air is hot enough, it shoots out of the fire pit’s upper vent holes, effectively burning off any smoke. These wood-burning flames get 400° hotter than conventional fires, eliminating smoke and creating fine ashes. As you enjoy your fire pit, this cycle will continue every time you burn. Air will silently vent and circulate throughout the fire pit, sustaining an ever-growing, hot flame. And the best part is, you’ll never have to worry about smelling like smoke again.

So, exactly how different is Fire Pit 2.0 from the original Solo Stove Fire Pit? Allow us to shed some light:
- “Will my fire pit accessories work with 2.0 models?”
Yes! Fire Pit 2.0 features the same dimensions as the original line, allowing you to continue to use your favorite accessories. And when you’re done, nest your accessories right inside– the new removable base plate and ash pan won’t impact any storage capabilities.
- “Will I still be able to create smokeless fires easily, or will I have to adjust my techniques?”
Smokeless fires are here to stay. When your fire pit is hot, your base plate will lock into position, letting you poke, prod, and adjust your logs as often as you’d like. Go ahead and light your fire with style: whether it’s a log cabin shape, from the top down, or with kindling and only a couple of logs at a time. As long as you stack your logs under the secondary burn holes, and have a hot, consistent fire, your smoke-free nights can live on. - “How often do I need to empty my ash pan?”
We have always recommended that you empty your ash pan after every 2-3 burns to allow optimal airflow inside your fire pit. But with Fire Pit 2.0, cleanup is easier than ever, allowing you to empty your ash pan after every burn. Make sure your fire pit is completely cooled, then simply reach in, remove your base plate and ash pan, and empty your ashes into a trash can or bucket if you’d like to hold onto them.
