Heating Up the New Year

A look ahead by Solo Stove CEO, John Merris

Since we began in 2011, Solo Stove has been focused on designing outdoor products that make it easy for people to get outdoors and reconnect to what matters most. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the backcountry or the backyard, there’s something amazing about being outside with the people and places most important to us.

Time around the fire is time that becomes precious.

I love this time of year. Yes, of course the holidays are great. The lights, sounds, and smells are all amazing. And certainly the extra time spent with family. But I especially love the chance to pause and reflect. Like most of you, the end of the year has me thinking a lot about resolutions. I hope to be better in 2020 than I was in 2019. I especially hope that I’ll do a better job at being present wherever and with whoever I find myself. Too often I find myself distracted with my phone or my thoughts, rather than enjoying the people and places around me.

I love Solo Stove because our products help me become less distracted by the millions of things going on around me. Time around the fire is time that becomes precious. Starting a fire, feeling the warmth, and watching flames dance on the faces of my family and friends; there’s something spectacular about a fire’s ability to attract my attention.

In 2020 we resolve to find more ways to help you reconnect to the people and places that mean the most to you. We’ll help you discover new places and new relationships and make it a little easier for you to make memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for letting us join you in reconnecting to what matters most to YOU.

Happy New Year!
