Touchdown Dip

Take the field with this delicious, seven layer dip to kick off the evening.

Ingredients

  • Your favorite salsa, 1 can
  • Refried beans, 1 can
  • Cheese dip, 1 jar
  • Sour cream
  • Black olives, 1 can
  • Beef sticks, 1 package
  • Cheddar cheese, 1 block
  • White corn chips
  • Blue corn chips
  • Carrots, sliced for dipping
  • Celery sticks
  • Toothpicks
  • Zip lock bag
  • Large rectangular serving dish
  • Thin cutting board or pastry cutter

Directions

  1. Spread a ¼”-½” thick layer of refried beans across the bottom of the serving dish.
  2. Now we’ll add the other layers to mimic the yard lines on the football field. Using your pasty cutter as a barrier, spread your salsa, guacamole, and cheese dip into three distinct sections. (See photo and video above for inspiration).
  3. Squeeze sourcream across the cheese, guacamole, and salsa to mark yard lines. You can either put your sour cream in a piping bag or use sour cream that comes in a squeeze bottle to make it even easier.
  4. Assemble goalposts by cutting a thick slice of cheddar cheese to use as the base and putting beef sticks on toothpicks to make the shape just right.
  5. Arrange sliced olives to draw out your play to victory and serve your dip with white and blue corn chips, carrots, and celery.

Roasted Pineapple Mocktails

Toast every replay-worthy moment with this easy, refreshing citrus cooler featuring caramelized pineapple made on the Solo Stove Grill!

Ingredients

  • Your favorite sparkling water (We used LaCroix® Tangerine)
  • Orange juice
  • Sliced pineapple
  • Mint
  • Large ice cubes
  • Festive glasses

Solo Stove Gear Used

  • Solo Stove Grill
  • Solo Stove Grill Tools

Directions

  1. Light your grill and preheat to a medium-high heat. If you are using your Solo Stove Grill, just light your charcoal and the Grill will heat up to the perfect temperature in ten to fifteen minutes.
  2. Slice fresh pineapple from top to bottom in thick coins. Grill on direct heat for a few minutes, just until grill marks begin to develop. Flip and repeat.
  3. Remove roasted pineapple from the grill and cut into triangles. Make a small cut on the corner to be able to hang it from the rim of your glass when serving.
  4. Add ice and equal parts sparking water and orange juice to your festive glasses. We used LaCroix® Tangerine to double down on the citrus flavor.
  5. Add roasted pineapple to the rim of the glass, top the mocktail with a sprig of mint, and serve.

Football Burgers

For the main course, these football-shaped burgers will tackle any hunger. By adding “laces” to the rolls, you not only get a burger that’s ready to play but an “extra point” of cheesy goodness.

Ingredients

  • 6 oval rolls
  • Ground beef, 3 lbs
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 1 pack of yellow American cheese
  • 1 pack of white American cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Solo Stove Gear Used

  • Solo Stove Grill
  • Solo Stove Grill Tools

Directions

  1. Cut rolls in half. We used Bolillo rolls for this recipe to get the perfect football shape.
  2. Check your grill to make sure your flame is at a medium-high heat. If you are using a Solo Stove Grill, you don’t need to worry. A 4lb Grill Pack of charcoal will keep your Grill at the perfect temperature for 45 minutes.
  3. Season ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into six football-shaped patties.
  4. Grill patties for 8-10 minutes on each side for a well-done burger. Add a slice of yellow American cheese to the patty once flipped.
  5. While the patties are grilling, cut and place white American cheese slices for the laces on each side of the football rolls. Pro tip: We placed the top half of the rolls lace-side up on the Grill for a couple minutes to melt the cheese laces into place.
  6. Remove patties from the Grill once they are done and place on the bottom half of the roll. Layer lettuce, tomatoes, and place the cheese-laced roll on top.

Campfire Fondue

There’s nothing like warm, melted chocolate with marshmallows and fruit to top the evening, whether your team was victorious or not. This sweet treat is a fun way to get the whole party involved! How will you make your fondue skewer? Alternating marshmallows, pineapple, and strawberry? Or will it be marshmallows all the way? To make it easy, we made our campfire fondue over Titan camp stove fueled with Alcohol Burner.

Ingredients

  • Dark chocolate, 1 bar
  • Milk chocolate, 1 bar
  • Whole milk, 1 cup
  • Unsalted butter, 1oz.
  • Vanilla extract, ½ tsp
  • Sea Salt, 1 pinch
  • Marshmallows
  • Sliced pineapple
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Large skewers
  • Denatured alcohol to fuel your camp stove

Solo Stove Gear Used

  • Solo Stove Titan camp stove
  • Solo Stove Pot 1800
  • Solo Stove Alcohol Burner

Directions

Setting up and lighting your camp stove

  1. Pour 3 oz. of denatured alcohol inside Alcohol Burner. Carefully place Alcohol Burner inside your Titan camp stove. Pro tip: we left the flame regulator off at this stage. We added it to the stove once the chocolate was fully melted to keep it warm.
  2. Light stove with a long-nosed lighter. Add the flame ring and Pot 1800 on top.

Making the fondue

  1. Finely chop dark chocolate and milk chocolate bars. The finer you chop them, the faster the chocolate will melt.
  2. Combine chopped chocolate with whole milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl and stir.
  3. Add mixture to Pot 1800 and stir frequently until it begins to thicken and bubble.
  4. Remove from the stove using gloves (the Pot will be hot!) and set aside on a pot holder.
  5. Adjust Alcohol Burner’s flame regulator to a low setting and set on top of your Alcohol Burner inside your stove. We used gloves and tongs to keep our hands safe from the heat!
  6. Add Pot with fondue back to the stove to keep warm, stirring occasionally.

Prepping the skewers

  1. Add marshmallows, pineapple, strawberries in any combination you like onto the skewers and dip into the fondue!
